Gender representation in key economic sectors and government leadership remains lagging across the world and Africa is no exception. Even though the continent has done better than its global counterparts in the inclusion of women in key sectors of the economy the continent still has a long way to go. Whilst the continent has taken strides in increasing female representation in government, reports show that the private sector is lagging behind with only 5% of CEOs in Africa being women. In the recently released Forbes Africa list of 21 billionaires only 2 of the featured entrepreneurs were women.

Join us at the inaugural DLO African Women in Power Summit as we bring together government and business leadership to address the challenges and unlock the opportunities that are central to challenging the narrative. The summit is intended to offer tangible business and leadership opportunities to ensure meaningful participation of women in the economy. We will identify accessible opportunities that can be readily pursued by women on the continent.
